Deviation Actions
Hello everyone. Saying that it has been a while would be an understatement. I sincerely apologize for the length at which I have been MIA(missing in action). Sometimes life just jumps up and nips you in the knickers unexpectedly. Now to get down to business!

NaNoWriMo
How was everyone's experience? Who made it? I am very interested in setting up some post NaNo interviews to post in a spot light section, so if you have a tale of NaNo woe or triumph that you are interested in sharing, please note the group.
Upcoming WriMo's
This month is dedicated to NaNoEdMo, which is Nation Novel Editing Month. This month's challenge is to commit to 50 hours of editing! April's challenges include NaPoWriMo- Write a poem everyday in the month of April, ScriptFrenzy- Write a 100 page screen or stage play, and RePoWriMo- Refrigerator Poetry Writer's Month(Write poetry using only the refrigerator magnets). We had a couple of people participate in NaPoWriMo last year and master the challenge along with a couple of honourable mentions. This year, I am planing a way to keep the folders a little less hectic, so we will be doing weekly folders, so that will require you to label your own work with the day for which it is being submitted(this applies to WriMo challenges only). If you submit a poem during NaPoWriMo to a folder and it is not marked with the day, the submission will be denied with a comment on the reason to remind you. So, when submitting a poem, please title as such: Day XX - Title of Poem (Or you can reverse the order if you like). There will be more to come on this.
A Call for Help
I know that the switch in ownership of the group that took place was sudden and there were staff in place, but I need to know who is still interested in helping out and who among our members are interested in participating in staff activities and some behind the scene's work. If you are currently listed as staff, please see the posted announcement.
As always, I wish everyone a great March and hopefully you will be seeing more from me soon!

There Goes Week Two
Whoever said that the second week was going to be harder than the first...they were right. Well, for a lot of the people I know. Some people are already crossing the finish line. And then there are some who aren't even close.
But now we are going onto week three. That means the first half of the month is gone and hopefully half of your novel is done, at the very least. Don't fret if you aren't, you still have the last half of the month to catch up. Just keep on writing.
How did your second week go? Do you think week three is going to be any easier?
Tracey
The End of Week One
It's the end of week one! I hope everyone is doing well. The first week can be hard because it's the beginning of the novel. For some people, it's the hardest part to write. Did you struggle with your beginning or is now about the time when you're having issues writing. I know I am (but that is because of illness).
Some of my writing buddies told me that if you're struggling on a scene or a section of your novel, skip it and fill in the blanks later. It works occasionally. Write the scenes you know or the ones you want to write. It will help you get further faster.
Word Wars also help. If you don't know where to find some word wars, please
Are You Ready?
First, I'm going to start off by apologizing for not posting much. I just recently got a new job and I'm trying to get used to my schedule but I'll get the hang of it soon enough.
So, we have less than 24 hours until NaNoWriMo and there are some places who have already started. Are you ready? Do you just have a few more things to do before you're ready or do you still have so much to go? I won't lie, I fell behind in my planning. It's not my novels that I need to plan, it's my workspace that isn't prepared.
Who is staying up (or stayed up) until midnight to write?
Good luck, everyone!
Tracey

Life really kicked me in the crotch as well (I've been in the hospital the past two weeks), so there's not much chance of me editing my NaNo, unfortunately. I do intend to try and get myself back together in time for my first Script Frenzy, though.
