It's the end of week one! I hope everyone is doing well. The first week can be hard because it's the beginning of the novel. For some people, it's the hardest part to write. Did you struggle with your beginning or is now about the time when you're having issues writing. I know I am (but that is because of illness).

Some of my writing buddies told me that if you're struggling on a scene or a section of  your novel, skip it and fill in the blanks later. It works occasionally. Write the scenes you know or the ones you want to write. It will help you get further faster.

Word Wars also help. If you don't know where to find some word wars, please comment below and I will do my best to direct you to one. Or you could just use Write Or Die. It's a wonderful tool.

What is your best cure for writer's block?

a rather awesome writing app. Choose a time, choose a count, choose a difficulty. Difficulties range from easy to evil. Choose evil and hilarity ensues. Have fun!

Someone once told me to write through writers block, its no use wait for it to go away or trying to get around it. The person suggested writing something easy (preferred scenes or a different stories) for about a page then moving to your tougher project. I find this works well for me... I can wait forever for inspiration or I can find it by writing.

I think this next week is going to be harder than the first. My current writer's block breaker is NaNoWordSprints on Twitter. It helps because I'm competitive and if someone else is writing I want to be too. Haha.

I keep track of my words daily, then weekly. But I do know that my co-author and I are a full day ahead of schedule now.
